Skedomsbodarna

Skedoms Fäbodar are, as the name suggests, old sheds where they used to keep their animals in the summer. It is not possible to go into the sheds themselves but there is a good barbecue area and a stream with a bridge that is suitable for throwing in sticks upstream from and then running to the other side and see if they arrive. Maybe not so spectacular in the eyes of a couple of adults but for a three-year-old it's a pretty big deal.

To find Skedoms Fäbodar you drive highway 335 towards Övik from Sollefteå and take off towards Strinneån and then past Skedomssjön. In winter you can get to Skedoms Fäbodar via marked snowmobile trails, trails that can also be hiked, run or cycled in summer. A good starting point is at Valbergsvägen just above the RUIF cabin.
