From mill to museum
The Surahammar Ironworks Museum was opened in the late 1920s and underwent a thorough renovation in the 1950s. The renovation of the museum was carried out under the leadership of former foreman A. Lindberg, who was assisted by pensioners. It is said that mining engineer J M Schenström was the driving force behind the restoration.
