In and around Uppsala there are eight Linnaeus trails, reconstructions of Linnaeus' own excursion routes. The Gottsunda walk, Herbatio Gottsundensis, starts today at Gläntan, on the west side of Stadskogen. Linnaeus, on the other hand, started his walks at the then Fjärdingstullen. This customs gate was located below the castle in the English Park where the University Library Carolina Rediviva is now located. At Gläntan you can look out over Norby marsh where Linnaeus collected cloudberries, located in what is now a residential area on the other side of Norbyvägen.

After a short walk through the urban forest, you join the historic route at Norby and thus leave the city noise. Here the agrarian-historical landscape opens up and the hiker is offered a pleasant walk along the Hågaån river. From Lurbo, the Linnaeus Trail follows the accessible footpath to Vårdsätra farm.

The entire route is 8.3 km long, but it can be divided into smaller stages. Bus connections are available in several places.

Parkeren is mogelijk aan het begin en aan het einde van het pad.

De bushalte het dichtst bij de start is Lindsbergsgatan en ligt langs Norbyvägen bij Gläntan Parking. Dicht bij het einde van het pad is de halte Lurbo brug die ligt langs de Health Trail.

Gottsundavandringen starts at Gläntan's parking lot along Norbyvägen, on the west side of Stadsskogen.

To get to Vårdsätra farm, follow Vårdsätravägen south and turn right where there is a sign for Vårdsätra sätesgård. Follow the road straight ahead to Vårdsätrabadets parking lot on the left.
