Tärendöholmen festplats

In the middle of the confluence of the Kalix and Tärendö rivers, lies the Tärendöholmen festival site.

In August 1954, Tärendöholmen opened its gates and became one of Norrbotten's largest party places. Artists such as Monica Zetterlund, Tommy Körberg, ABBA, Jerry Williams, Ted Gärdestad, Gyllene Tider, Vikingarna and Eldkvarn have played here.

There is a large stage, an indoor dance floor in a log cabin, a viewing tower and a café.

The site is now used for summer parties and various activities, as well as car bingo held in the large parking lot during the summer.

Adjacent to Tärendöholmen is also Tärendö Hembygdsgård, which is one of Norrbotten's best preserved homesteads.

During July, Tärendöveckan is organized with, among other things, a summer café and car bingo in Tärendöholmen's parking lot.
