Exhibition with a focus on shipping and rope making

**Maritime museum

On the ground floor of the homestead in Otterbäcken there is a Maritime Museum and a working rope warehouse. The Maritime Museum contains a number of objects related to fishing and shipping, which have a very long tradition in the area.

**Danjel's salmon boat

In 2002, a salmon and transport boat that had been away from Amnehärad for half a century but is now back where it was built in the 1880s was added to the collections. The boat has now been given its final place at the homestead. Dannjel's boat can be visited at any time, although the information board with the boat's history is best studied in daylight.

**Opening hours

The museum is open for special events, but you are welcome to contact Amnehärads hembygdsförening to book a visit by appointment.

Admission is free and one of the museum's hosts also speaks English.
