Näsets Paddlarklubb

Näsets Paddlarklubb is a non-profit organization with about 300 members operating in Gothenburg. We are involved in both paddling on Delsjön at our own modern premises and sea kayaking based on Smithska Udden. We have activities in exercise paddling, competition and sea kayaking.

**Youth activities

NPK has youth training every Tuesday and Thursday all year round, the activities are both water and land based. Training starts at 18:00 and ends around 19:30.

We are always two leaders out on the water with the youth. We paddle together and if necessary and/or possible we can split up into several groups.

Our goal with the training is for the young people to exercise kayaking in a safe way. Safety, community, exercise and technique.

A large part of recreational kayaking is competition, so we train a lot of competition elements and competition preparation. Of course, the young people themselves choose how much they want to compete or if they want to compete at all.

NPK and other clubs in the region organize a number of training camps every year, sometimes in connection with competitions.

Who can become a member? All young people who are interested in paddling, regardless of whether you have mastered the rankest kayak or have mostly floated around on the bathing mattresses from the swimming pool. Either you are interested in taking the next Olympic gold, exercise paddling for fun and of course everything in between.
