Kviberg

The area is largely characterized by two mountain areas with pine and birch forests alternating with an open old agricultural landscape bordered by deciduous forest. There are special ecological values here, such as the lesser spotted woodpecker. Remains of house foundations, gardens and fences testify to how the land was used in the past. For a long time the area was military and closed to the public. Today, the area is a sports center for Gothenburg. Both climbing and swimming are available, for example, in connection with the nature area and places such as the Stone Age cairn (see picture).

In the old horse stables in Kviberg you will also find the popular Kvibergs Marknad (flea market) with its 160 stalls for rent. Opening hours are as follows: Saturday 10.00 - 15.00 Sunday 10.00 - 15.00
