Vandringsled norra, Bråfors

You can choose between walking a shorter or longer loop. The shorter loop is about 1.8 kilometers long and takes you through pastures and fields, along the old canal that led water to the smelter. If you choose the longer loop of about 2.2 kilometers, you will reach the lake at the northern border of the cultural reserve. Here you can look out over the lake, see the sluice gate that regulated the water to the ironworks, and take a break at one of the picnic areas.

The hiking trail is marked with white painted posts with a black circle. It runs on uneven ground through woodland and pastures where cows and sheep graze, so remember to close the gates behind you!
