Beskrivelse
The reserve consists mainly of coniferous forest that is between 100 and 140 years old. The central parts, which are dominated by rocky pine forest and intermediate small bogs, are older. The eastern parts are more varied with rock outcrops, alpine meadows and spruce forest with elements of older birch and aspen trees. Windfalls, high stumps and flames occur locally in abundance and give the area a primeval forest character.
Some of the rarer species that grow on flames (i.e. broken, lying trees) include the woolly thistle, the border thistle and the wood moss. Older aspens are home to the rare aspen cap moss and aspen feather moss. The chance of seeing capercaillie here is quite high.

Tängsta is located 8 kilometers north of Köping. Drive on road 250 towards Kolsva from the large roundabout in central Köping. Turn right at the next roundabout and follow the sign for "Munktorp". Drive about 1.1 kilometers on Ringvägen. Turn left at sign "6 Odensvi". Drive 6.3 kilometers. Go straight at the intersection, towards sign "17 Lisjö". Drive 2 kilometers and turn left in the curve before the barn on the left side. Drive on a smaller gravel road for about 3 kilometers. You can park when you arrive at a turnaround where there is an information board.

Svårt att ta sig fram på vissa ställen. Bron precis i början av stigen vid infotavlan är i väldigt dåligt skick. Det finns även döda träd som lagt sig över stigen ett par hundra meter in.
