Paddling i Arbogaån från Arboga till Kungsör

Paddle between the historic towns of Arboga and Kungsör. You start just below the central part of Arboga. A good place to lay is at the boat ramp east of Herrgårdsbron on the south side of the river. After a few kilometres, you pass under Europaväg 20. You then arrive at the northern end of the Hjälmare canal, which connects to the Arbogaån.

You paddle upstream in mostly still water. When you have a few kilometers left to Kungsör, you arrive at Slottsholmen. There you can take a well-deserved break at a pleasant rest area with barbecue area and shelter from the wind on the south side of the river. There is also a great chance of seeing beavers here.

The last kilometers before you reach Kungsör and Mälaren, the river is bordered by several beautiful villas from the turn of the century.
