Ormdalen is located 1 mil northwest of Skinnskatteberg. Baggå is 1 mil northwest of Skinnskatteberg. Drive from Skinnskatteberg on road 233 towards Kopparberg. Drive about 5 kilometers. Turn left at the sign "Kopparberg" and "Örebro". Turn right almost immediately at the sign "Kopparberg". Drive about 5.4 kilometers. Turn left at the sign "Ormdalens naturreservat". Drive about two kilometers to the reserve parking.

There are rules that you as a visitor must follow. The rules are there to protect the area's natural values.

It is forbidden to:

• dig, hack, carve, paint or otherwise damage the earth's surface or fixed natural objects such as rocks and boulders,
• practise rock-climbing
• driving a motorized vehicle
• bring an unleashed dog or other stray pet
• cycling or horse riding
• camping for more than two days
• felling or otherwise damaging living or dead trees and shrubs, and damaging vegetation or natural objects in general, for example by gathering firewood or collecting herbs, grasses, mosses, fungi or lichens, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms for domestic use
• collecting insects or other invertebrates
• make fires other than in specially prepared fireplaces
• putting up a board, sign, poster, orienteering control or permanently marking trails
• use the area for organized competitions or exercises, camp activities or similar.
