Since the 2021 season, Fagersta municipality has removed all possibilities for firewood storage and waste management around the Perch lakes. It is the public's own responsibility to take any garbage with them. It is also the public who will be held responsible by the landowner in the event of fire, destruction of forest, littering and the like.
Please note that you must have a fishing license to fish at the Perch lakes and that fly fishing is only allowed at Lilla Perch lake - violation will be prosecuted. Fishing licenses can be purchased via the link below or the app iFiske.se

NOTE! Parts of the stage run through forest and land that has been heavily attacked by the spruce bark beetle. Please be careful.
Stage 14 starts at Norra Morsjön and has its finish at Högbyn's now closed alpine facility. The stage runs mostly through dense mixed forest. The stage begins by walking on a gravel road for a short distance before it turns into a path/single track. On the way to the stage's goal in Högbyn you pass several lakes. For example, Dötjärn and Abborrtjärn. The latter is a popular destination as you can fish for rainbow trout, char and trout in the pond. There are special rules that apply to fishing in Abborrtjärn and it is therefore important to follow the rules that exist and buy a fishing license. Fish stocking is handled by Fagersta municipality.
Stage 14 passes areas/communities where there are permanent homes. Please exercise caution and respect private land.

Via road 250 in the direction of Köping you will reach Bastmora after about 12 km. Here you can park the car in a suitable place and walk a bit on Stage 13 before you step on Stage 14 at Norra Morsjön.
If you want to hike from Högbyn towards Norra Morsjön, it is possible to park at Högbyn's old ski resort.
