Arboga Lasse-Maja spåret. 13 km

Discover the Lasse-Maja trail in Arboga - a well-kept and scenic trail that offers experiences for both walkers and runners. Here, forests, winding paths and cultural history await in a perfect package.

The main stretch is 13 kilometers, but there are also loops of 10 and 6 kilometers. As the loops have common sections, you can easily combine them, add or subtract. The trail is clearly marked, both with color codes and signs showing where the loops split. The distances are based on Ekbacksbadet.

Do you want to make the trip longer? Then you can connect to adjacent trails. Hikers who want to spend the night in Arbogas forests can continue on the Tjurlångsleden trail - and if you keep an eye out, you might see one of the beaver huts next to Tjurlången! Don't miss Halvarsborgen and the fantastic view from the top.

There are several barbecue areas along the trail, so take the opportunity to take a break and enjoy the peaceful nature. For those who want shorter tours, there are several variants that start from Arboga Ski Club.

The name of the trail comes from the famous 19th century thief in a dress who spent his last years in Arboga. The popular running competition Lasse-Maja-loppet, which has attracted participants since the mid-1970s, is also organized here.

As the trail is adaptable in length, it suits everyone - from families with children to long-distance runners. It is well marked and mostly follows natural forest paths, but there are also some gravel roads in a rural setting. There are rest areas with barbecue facilities at several points along the way.

The trail starts at Ekbackens IP in Arboga, and is marked so that you follow it clockwise. However, it is just as good to start at the track center at Arboga ski club.
