Beskrivelse
Kyrkbyåsen is a popular hiking area on the outskirts of Kolbäck. The nature reserve is part of Kolbäcksåsen, which rises above the surroundings. A path runs along the top of the ridge in the old pine forest. The path is also part of the cycle path "Along Strömsholm Canal".

From the E18, in Hallstahammar turn off at exit 125, drive south on road 252. Follow signs for Kolbäck and Strömsholm. Turn off the road at Kolbäck church and drive through the residential area. From Kvicksund, drive road 56 north, turn off on road 252 towards Strömsholm. Turn off the road at the end of the golf course at the sign "Ädelfiske".

There are rules that you as a visitor must follow. The rules are there to protect the area's natural values.
It is forbidden to:
- destroy or damage any fixed natural object or surface formation
- drive a motorized vehicle or other motorized means of transport
- park other than in specially designated places,
- camping or setting up a caravan
- light fires other than in specially designated places.

Trevligt litet naturreservat. Kul att man har sparat en liten bit av åsen som ju annars är bortskyfflad för att sedan återuppstå vid Västerkvarn. Vid parkeringen ligger det gamla konvalecenthemmet och senare psykiatriboendet Åsgården helt öde. Undrar vad ägaren har för planer för detta fallfärdiga ställe.
