Jädersbruk
Today the area is a museum beautifully situated by the Arboga River. There are exhibitions both inside and outside. The indoor exhibitions are only available by pre-booking a visit or at events.
You roam freely (free of charge) in our outdoor exhibitions. you feel the wings of history from the forging business that Gustav Vasa started in 1551 in this beautiful place.
Some of what you can see with us:
- Machine history in the form of large and small engines
- Jädersbruk history, pictures and examples of things forged here
- Agricultural history, tools etc.
- Nature trail where you can see the beautiful buildings and environment along the Arboga river.
- Ancient remains with slag from the old forges.
- See how wind and water power can be used.
- See the old blacksmith Ambrosius Frisk forging as you approach the forge
At Jädersholme there are ten audio stories that describe the exciting history of Jädersbruk. You will learn more about the buildings, sites and history of Jädersbruk.

From Arboga/Kungsör:
- Drive on road 249 towards Fellingsbro / Lindesberg about 2km until you see the sign :Jädersbruk
- Turn left, drive over the railroad bridge.
- Keep to the left. Drive about 500 m.
- Park in the marked area.
From Fellingsbro / Lindesberg:
- Drive on road 249 towards Arboga.
- 400 m after the exit to the E18/E20 highway you will see the sign: Jädersbruk
- Turn right, drive over the railroad bridge.
- Keep to the left. Drive about 500 m.
- Park in the marked area.
