Botnialeden

Botnialeden is a 48 km long hiking trail from Södra Berget to Galtström. It follows mostly paths and gravel roads, with some short stretches of asphalt. The trail is marked with orange dots and directional signs at the major intersections. Along the trail there is information about natural and cultural values, local places and history. The trail passes a number of places with public transportation where you can start or end your hike.

At Södra Berget, Kvssleby, Juniskär, Bergafjärden, Skatan and Galtström there are also various forms of service such as restaurants, accommodation and food.

Along the Botnia Trail there are also rest areas at, for example, Jaktkojan, Tallstugan, Fiskdammen, Nylandsberget and Mingen. The trail also passes the bathing areas at Östtjärn, Dyket and Bergafjärden. There are plenty of nice viewpoints, but we can particularly mention Nolbykullen and Nylandsberget where the sea view is miles wide.

The trail connects in Galtström to the Coastal Trail through Nordanstig municipality, which follows the coast for another 62 km down to Sågtäkten south of Strömsbruk.
