Biergienas-Ågguovárrie, Ammarnäs närleder

At Vindelfjällen's nature center in Ammarnäs you can get information about the local trails. They have trail descriptions, information and experienced guides. This hike starts from Biergienas and goes to Ågguovárrie.

Ågguovárrie is the place to go for the beautiful views and you will not be disappointed. Ågguovárrie is a hike suitable for young and old. Once at the top, there is an open space that is made for picnics on a beautiful day. So don't forget to bring your coffee thermos and fika. When the weather is nice, this is a hike that offers a lot of mountain views without taking much time. It takes about 2 hours including the drive from Ammarnäs.

During the 750 m long hike, you will complete a climb of 85 altitude meters. The pine trees stand there gnarled on the border of the bare mountain. When you reach the top of Ågguovárrie, you have reached 776 m above sea level. This can be compared to Ammarnäs, which is about 400 meters above sea level. The view is amazing! From the top you look into the Vindelälven valley, Vuodnávággie. If you are lucky, you can see golden eagles soaring in the valley. In the north you can see parts of Björkfjället and in the west you get a good view of Ammarfjället.
