Badsjön, the small lake, which is perfect for a swim on a hot summer day, was created in connection with the regulation of the Ume River in the 1960s.
Description
The lake is shallow, making it suitable even for children. During the spring and fall, many different bird species rest here so bringing binoculars is recommended. If the weather is nice, there are also barbecue areas for a lovely meal outdoors.

Fakta
The municipalities whose rivers were affected by higher dam limits were compensated by the Swedish Water Resources Board. As in this case, Vattenfall built bathing areas (or schools or playgrounds) for local residents in need.
