Värmlands län, Torsby municipality, about 10 km SW of Lekvattnet church. Ritamäki is only a few kilometers from the Norwegian border.In Lekvattnet it is signposted Ritamäki. Follow the signs for about 10 km to the parking lot by Lake Lomsen. From the parking lot, there is about 1.5 kilometers of marked path up to Ritamäki. The path is relatively steep and rocky.

It is prohibited to:

• drive a motorized vehicle
• camping,
• light a fire other than in a designated fireplace,
• damage or remove dead wood such as lying or standing dry trees and dry branches in the forest area,
• picking or digging up herbs, mosses, lichens or tree fungi
• bring an unleashed dog,
• use the area in an organized manner for commercial purposes without the permission of the county administrative board, and for schools and institutions to regularly use the area to
• carry out scientific or other studies.

After decision 2016-03-15 it is also prohibited to:

• carrying out any form of forestry, and removing or reprocessing dead trees or windfalls.
