Beskrivelse
A hilly nature reserve that offers old forest and nice viewpoints.
The terrain in the area is hilly and the top of the mountain (Klackskullen) is just over 190 meters above sea level. The summit, where there are good vantage points, slopes steeply down towards the western boundary of the reserve, while the mountain has a more sloping character to the east.
The forest in the area is dominated by old pine. Pines have been found to be 330 years old and old pines make up a relatively large part of the pine population. Further down the slopes, the presence of spruce increases. The area has a relatively large element of deciduous trees, mainly birch but also aspen. The area has plenty of steep slopes and large boulders with clay surfaces. Several red-listed species occur in the area, some of which (such as the pine tick) are abundant.
Animals and plants
The occurrences of the red-listed mushrooms pine tick and winter tagging are abundant and probably one of the largest in Värmland County.

Location: Värmland county, Kil municipality, about 5 kilometers west of Fagerås. There are roads both north and south of the nature reserve, but these do not run in the immediate vicinity of the reserve. On highway 61, in the direction of Arvika, there is a parking bay 1 kilometer north of the reserve, but you have to cross the road if you intend to go south towards the reserve.
Forskrifter
In addition to other statutory provisions, it is prohibited in the reserve to
- felling or otherwise damaging living or dead trees or bushes, standing or fallen
- collect invertebrates, mosses, lichens and wood fungi
- driving a motorized vehicle
- tipping or stockpiling
- digging or pulling up vascular plants
- damaging, rearranging or removing rock, earth or stone.
Without permission from the county administrative board, it is also forbidden to
- conduct organized competitions or outdoor activities.
