Beskrivelse
Ängenleden goes around Ängsjön. There are several places to start the hike and there are several rest areas. The trail has large differences in level, with nice views from the heights. The trail goes through both forest and cultural landscapes. The meadow flora is living cultural evidence of previous users' efforts with the link. In the area there have been both Finn settlements, farms and crofters. You may see elk, roe deer and capercaillie. If you want to walk a shorter route, you can walk the Ängen Trail for a bit and then take the gravel road, along the lake, back to your starting point.

SERVICE: Rokkmakk Fritidsförening has simple summer catering in Rokkmakkstugan. The restaurant is open a few days each week. The meadow trail is prepared from June 1.

TO ROKKMAKK-STUGAN STARTING POINT From the E45 in Rottneros. Turn off towards Ski Sunne and Gräsmark. After about 10 km, at Västerrottna, turn left towards Ängen 9 km. At Ängsjön there is an information board and rest area. Follow blue signs with the text "Rokkmakkstugan, Ängen".
TO THE STARTING POINT ULVSJÖVÄGEN. From road 61, at Kallviken between Arvika and Kil (about 10 km before Arvika). Take off at the junction signposted Mangskog 10. Drive to Mangskog. There you turn left signposted towards Treskog. Follow the road for about 10 km. At the sign for Salungen, turn right. Drive 100 m and turn left. Follow blue signs with text "Rokkmakkstugan, Ängen". At T-junction, with sign "Ängen 3 km", turn right. Drive 1 km, turn right into the turning area with information board for Ängenleden.

Trevlig led, men tyvärr bitvis otroligt blött. Dåligt med spångar så man fick gå långa omvägar runt vattnet.
Dåligt uppmärkt och röjt de första 2-3 km från Rokkmakkstugan.
Vilken utmaning, första biten va fyllt med timmer då det va nyavverkat. En tuff tur, men vi klarade den. Vilken härlig 50-årspresent!
