Vallonstigen, 5 km

Vallonstigen runs in a loop through beautiful mill environments in Gimo. The loop is easy to walk and you walk along paved or graveled walkways, or on sidewalks. There is also a short section along a forest path, but you can avoid that part if you wish. Along the trail, there are information signs telling you about places you pass. The path is marked with blue and white paint.

The trail is intended to start at Knutmassomuséet/Kvarnen, at Bruksgatan 4. From here, follow a graveled walkway north. After passing a stable, the trail turns left onto a gravel road that takes you through the forest. Back at the settlement you can continue straight ahead, if you want to avoid the forest path. Otherwise, turn right. The forest path is wide and fairly easy to walk and can be walked with a stroller.

Soon you will come out on the road that goes up towards Gimo bath. Here you walk south and get a nice view of Gimo manor and Gimo pond. From the end of Gimo pond, Vallonstigen follows Upplandsleden west. You walk along the paved walkway and information signs along the way tell about old buildings and how life was in the past.

At Fyrbo, Vallonstigen leaves Upplandsleden and turns back again. You walk past Gimo sports ground, the manor house and the beautiful mill environment around Lilldammen.
