Beskrivelse
In the Slåttmyran nature reserve you walk in the tranquillity of the coniferous forest. The path winds its way over mossy rocks up onto rocky areas and alongside small bogs. The area has been forested for a long time. Most of the forest is 100-150 years old, but there are some old pines that are up to 250 years old.
Slåttmyran is located in the borderland. Three parishes, Alunda, Rasbo and Stavby, two counties, Rasbo and Oland, and two municipalities, Uppsala and Östhammar, meet at the impressive Högrån border cairn. The boundary cairn is a so-called five-stone pipe and is about 4 m in diameter and about 1.3 m high and is located along the path through the reserve.
In the reserve there are some small bogs, Slåttmyran, Nävermyran and Sågmyrorna. These are hyrologically unaffected. In the past, these were used as meadows and were mown to provide fodder for the animals.
If you are interested in biology, keep an eye out for orchids such as meadow lilies and maidenhair ferns, green clover, knotweed and marsh marigolds. There are also mosses such as wood moss and dark house moss and forest birds such as capercaillie and wolverine.

Forskrifter
In the reserve it is forbidden to:
- dig, cut, carve, paint or otherwise damage the earth's surface or solid natural objects
- drive a motorized vehicle.
- bring an unleashed dog or other stray pet
- ride a bicycle or horse.
- break branches, cut down or otherwise damage living or dead standing and fallen trees and bushes
- otherwise damage vegetation, e.g. by digging up plants such as rice, grass, herbs, mosses or lichens or removing woody fungi, with the exception of berry and edible mushroom picking for domestic use
- capture, injure, kill or remove vertebrates, climb nest trees, remove eggs or nests or otherwise deliberately disturb wildlife
- collecting insects and other invertebrates
- Put up a board, sign, poster, permanently mark out tracks, or similar.
- Make a fire other than in the designated place, as stated in the established management plan
- Without the permission of the County Administrative Board, use the area for organized competitions or exercises, camp activities or similar.
