Skaten-Rångsens naturreservat

The Skaten-Rångsen nature reserve is a large, beautiful archipelago area north of Forsmark. There are many islands of varying sizes and an unexploited coastline. Enjoy the tranquillity and a rich bird life.

Kayaks, canoes or small boats are recommended for getting around the nature reserve. Keep in mind that the water is shallow and rocky in many places. Show consideration for animals and nature.

Within the entire nature reserve, it is forbidden to moor a boat or camp for more than two consecutive days. You may only make a fire at a designated barbecue area.

Rångsen's boat mooring is a good starting point for a visit. Follow the blue signs with white text "Skaten-Rångsen" and you will find your way. There is a small parking lot, information board, barbecue area, dry toilet and the possibility of renting a rowing boat via the Upplandsstiftelsen. There are flatter areas suitable for camping.
