Beskrivelse
In and around Uppsala there are eight Linnaeus trails, reconstructions of Linnaeus' own excursion routes. The Denmark walk, Herbatio Danensis, is the most easily accessible for Uppsala residents. It starts in the harbor and leads out to Kungsängen, where all the marsh lilies bloom in May. From there it follows the Sävjaån river towards Linnés Sävja and then on to Linnés Hammarby.
Linnaeus gathered the students at Kungsängstull - where Kungsängstorg (Svintorget) is today. If we were to follow exactly in Linnaeus' footsteps, we would have to go straight through the treatment plant and on to Kungsängen.
There are several resting places along the way, for example at the bird hide south of Kungsängen, at Lilla Djurgården, at Linnés Sävja and Linnés Hammarby. Toilets are available at Linnés Sävja and Linnés Hammarby.
You can walk from the harbor to Kungsängen with a stroller, walker or wheelchair, provided that the weather is dry.
The whole route is 16 km long, but it can be divided into smaller stages. Bus connections are available in several places.
Read more about the Denmark Walk on the Linnaeus Paths website. There you can also download a leaflet with more information.

Underlag
Much walkway and during the second half road. Along the river Sävjaån you walk on a narrow and slightly bumpy path.
Parkering
Parking is available near the start, diagonally opposite Strandbodgatan, and at Linnés Hammarby where the walk ends.
There is also parking at Lilla Djurgården. To get there, drive out of Uppsala, south, via Kungsgatan. At the roundabout, drive towards Sävja and continue to road 255 where you turn right. Just after the river at Kuggebro, a small gravel road goes up to the right leading to a small parking lot at the edge of the forest.
Parking is also available at Linnés Sävja and at Danmarks kyrka.
Kommunikasjon
Bus stops are located in several places along the route:
Kuggebro stop is located along road 255 on the northern outskirts of Sävja where the path goes over Sävjaån.
In Sävja, for example, there is a stop at Nämndemansvägen, which is located by Ica where the trail crosses road 255 towards Linnés Sävja.
You can get to the Danmarks kyrka stop with the regional bus.
More information about bus connections can be found on Upplands lokaltrafik's website, www.ul.se

Trevlig vandring fram till Nåntuna. Mellan Bergsbrunna och Danmarks Kyrka lite tråkig vandring längs med trafikerad landsväg.
