Use the dry wood when you burn!
This winter, the County Administrative Board has replenished the wood supply with fresh wood at Kolarkojan. So there is both dry and fresh wood. The fresh wood needs to dry before it can be used for fires.
Beskrivelse
From Risön it is a fairly easy 3 km hike to the charcoal hut at Brändön. Inside the hut there are two benches, a table and a fireplace. Outside there is a fireplace with logs, a dry toilet and an old coal bin, the remains of a coal mine.
In the County Administrative Board's open cabins, you can enjoy your packed lunch or just warm up for a while. The coal hut is not equipped for overnight stays.

Två km extra från Upplands leden men väl värt ett besök. satt i kojan och värmde oss med brasa efter vi var dygnsura. Att tänka på är att dörren bör vara öppen eftersom kojanär utrustad med brandvarnare! 😊
