Bärsträcka Västland, Tämnaråns kanotled

Through Västland, the Tämnarån is too shallow and rocky to paddle. When there is a lot of water, it also flows quite well here. If you come from the south and want to continue paddling up towards Karlholm, you need to lift the canoe at Bolstan and then roll it on a canoe cart to Stav, a distance of 2 km. You walk along gravel roads along the river, past the church and through beautiful historic surroundings. NOTE! For a short distance you need to walk along Skärplingevägen, which is a 70 km road, and the last bit you walk along a field edge down to the river, here you may need to carry the canoe 100 m.
