Yttereneby naturreservat

In Yttereneby nature reserve you will find a wide variety of habitats. Here you will find everything from the grazed seashore meadows of the cultural landscape, pastures and fields. Nature offers a river ravine, pine rocklands and old spruce forests.

For those interested in plants, there is much to discover. In the pasture, the cows' grazing favors a rich flora. There are also plenty of mighty oaks and ash trees. The mountain that runs through the reserve is poor in limestone. Plants such as yellow buttercup and tulkwort thrive here. On the western side of the mountain there is a very interesting insect and fungal flora with several endangered species. Just west of the reserve, the Skillebyån river meanders and flows into the sea.

From the parking lot, a path leads you along the rock wall into the reserve. If you turn left before you pass the pasture fence, you can climb up the mountain ridge, which in several places offers a magnificent view of the Sörmland cultural landscape and the Baltic Sea.

If you continue into the pasture and follow the path eastwards, you will pass seashore meadows before you reach the beautiful Kärleksudden. Here there are two fireplaces where you can grill your food or enjoy a coffee. The headland is also a popular swimming spot.

The path is hilly, well-used and partly rich in roots and stones. You will pass a ramp and a staircase that are adapted for strollers to cross. To enter the pasture, you pass a ferry gate. The beautiful meadows further north in the reserve, as well as the fine forest rich in mushrooms, are also worth a walk and a closer look.
