Beskrivelse

Near the junction of Mälarvägen and Görvälnsvägen there are old pastures with large oaks and hazel bushes. It is a beautiful old agricultural landscape that is today grazed by sheep.

Henrikstorp, or Hinderstorp as it is also called, is one of Järfälla's oldest crofts. It was one of the small farms under Görväln Castle, and people have lived here since the early 16th century. Henrikstorp is privately owned.

East of Henrikstorp there are remains in the form of house foundations. At the end of the 16th century, an Italian nobleman bred horses here. He sold the horses to the Swedish king's army.

If you continue north on the road towards Görväln Castle, you will come to the scanty steppes. The soil is poor and the harvest was probably stingy. The Nature Conservation Society and the Local History Society organize haymaking every year on the weedy steppe. When it is time for mowing, grass and herbs are cut with a scythe to mimic old meadow management.
