Upplevelsestråket - Edssjön runt - 10.7 km

With Upplevelsestråket you can get close to nature and experiences in the municipality in an easy way. The trail runs along the old waterways between Saltsjön and Mälaren, which were already used for transportation in Viking times.

The route is divided into twelve stages and has a total length of just over 40 kilometers.

Ed's church, which dates back to the 12th century, is the oldest building in the municipality. It contains, among other things, paintings by Albertus Pictor. Ed is one of the three parishes that are the origin of Upplands Väsby municipality. The lush bushes around Edssjön are home to the nightingale, which can be heard in May. Along the western side of the lake is Kyrkstenen, a rune carving worth a visit. On the eastern side of Edssjön after Bisslinge, you walk on the experience trail at Älvsunda and then a short distance on the Väsbyån experience trail.

The experience trail is a collaborative project between Upplands Väsby municipality, associations and landowners.
