Beskrivelse
At the Dammstakärret pond, you may feel as though you've entered a deep wilderness. The desolate cries of the black-throated loon echo off the water in the spring, and during a visit in summer, you may see the unusual bright, yellow-green flowers of the bog orchid. Many different plants thrive in these wetlands, including a wide variety of sphagnum mosses.
Due to its impressive biodiversity, Dammstakärret is a designated Natura 2000 area, which means that it is part of the Natura 2000 network that protects Europe's most valuable and threatened species and habitats.

By car: From Stockholm: Take Route 274 towards Vaxholm. Drive for 7.1 km. Turn right onto Pålsundsvägen road, signposted "Bogesund". From Pålsundsvägen road, follow the signs towards Broknäs. Follow the road for approx. 900 m to a gravel parking lot on the left. From the parking lot, follow the signs towards Dammstakärret.
By public transit: The nearest bus stop is Ekevägen.
By foot: You can get to the Dammstakärret pond from two fantastic trails: the Dammstakärrsrundan trail (10.8 km) and the Nässeldalsrundan trail (5.5 km).
Forskrifter
In order to protect the Bogesundslandet nature reserve, please respect the following rules.
Within the reserve, it is forbidden to:
- destroy or damage rock, soil or stone by drilling, cutting, blasting, carving, digging, painting or similar,
- break branches, fell or in any other way damage living or dead trees and bushes or damage the vegetation in general by digging up plants,
- bring dogs that are not on a leash,
- camp for more than two consecutive nights outside of designated campsites,
- park a motorhome, caravan or other camping vehicle outside of designated campsites,
- anchor a boat at the same beach for more than two consecutive nights,
- make a fire outside of designated sites,
- put up signs, posters or similar,
- bike outside of designated bicycling trails while cycling off road,
- ride horses off road or outside of designated horse trails.

Fin promenad i bitvis ganska brant o kuperad skogsterräng. Bitvis går man på väg eller nära väg där trafiken hörs. Härligt att gå på mark med mycket barr. Tror denna är perfekt att gå en varm sommardag då du går mycket i skog med höga träd. Hörde storlom och såg en krokodiltall.
