The beech forest in Ekebyhov Park is probably Europe's northernmost self-regenerating beech forest.
The soil in a beech forest is almost completely free of plants because the beech leaves prevent all sunlight from getting through.
Between the castle and the dance floor grows a single giant blood beech.
It is claimed that all of Sweden's growing tree species are represented in the park and the surrounding forest.
Take a walk around and try to recognize the many tree species.
