Cykeltips Slottsturen

The bike ride goes in varied terrain starting at the train station in central Flen and ends at Sparreholm Castle. Cycle along Sveavägen - Brogatan to the roundabout at Circle K and Q8 on road 55.

Drive north about 2 km and turn right towards Forssa. This winding gravel road leads through a beautiful agricultural landscape with open pastures, deciduous and coniferous forests, farms and crofts. The Malstanäs, Skedevi and Forsnäs estates are located along the way. Make a stop at Forsnäs church, which was built in the 14th century.

The tour takes you on to Årdala and a very popular excursion destination, Sigridslunds Café & Handelsbod. Crafts and lots of goodies in a unique environment.

Near Årdala church, from the 1100s and closest neighbor to Sigridslund is Vavivagården, a retreat center in the heart of Sörmland. It offers meditation, peace dance and yoga. Here you can stay overnight in cute little guest rooms.

The bike ride takes you out on a slightly larger road, road 53. Keep left in the direction of Sparreholm. The next destination is Johannisdals café - Twister 53. Here you can enjoy a well-deserved and irresistible waffle!

After another two kilometers, make a detour to Rockelsta Castle. Rockelsta Castle is a national romantic renaissance castle in the heart of Sörmland with its four 18th century wings and beautifully landscaped park, the castle is a unique and living estate. Back to road 53 towards Sparreholm. Shopping tour at Fabriken at crazy prices. The tour takes you on to Sparreholmsbadet in Lake Båven where a dip is highly recommended.

Continue past the bath and soon you will see Hyltinge on a road sign on the left, turn off there. Here you can enjoy fantastic views in the bright and open landscape at Sparreholm's oak gardens, which is a nature reserve.

You will soon arrive at Hyltinge church, which was built in the 14th century, beautifully situated on a small hill.

From the church you will see a 1 km long lime tree avenue leading to Sparreholm Castle. Sparreholm Castle, museums and horse center are the ideal destination for the most memorable experience of the year. All in a beautiful, restful and exclusive Sörmländ cultural environment.
