Beskrivelse
River area in Helgarö with hillside lilies flowering over the years. People have lived here for many thousands of years, as evidenced by burial grounds and ancient remains in the area. Otherwise, the reserve consists of dry meadows and mixed forest.
Animals have grazed on the ridge for at least 300 years, but animal husbandry declined over time. Since the area became a nature reserve, the pasture has been recreated and cows and sheep now keep the landscape open again.
In Sweden there are over 5,000 nature reserves and over 4,000 different Natura 2000 sites. Some of these are both nature reserves and Natura 2000 sites.

Parkering
Parkering finns nära hembygdsgården.
Kommunikasjon
Bus 325 from Strängnäs stops at the Nybble stop a few hundred meters from the reserve.
Veibeskrivelse
The reserve is located on Fogdön on both sides of the road between Strängnäs and Björsund. Parking is available near the homestead.
Forskrifter
The nature reserve has special rules for visitors.
It is forbidden to:
- break branches, cut down or otherwise damage living or dead standing and fallen trees and bushes
- damage, pick or collect plants, fungi or lichens. However, picking berries, edible mushrooms and flowers for personal use is permitted, provided that it does not violate the conservation regulations
- putting up a billboard, poster, poster, sign or making an inscription
- capture and collect invertebrates. The prohibition does not apply to trapping, hand picking or other selective methods with subsequent release within the nature reserve. The release requirement does not apply to single occupancy specimens of each species provided that the collection does not violate the conservation regulations.
- driving a motorized vehicle in the terrain.
- setting up a caravan or motor home for overnight stays
- pitching a tent
- making a fire.
It is forbidden without the permission of the County Administrative Board:
- organize competitions
The above regulations shall not prevent Walpurgis Day celebrations under the auspices of Helgarö bygdegård on the area marked in the annex to the reserve decision.
