Vaxsjöslingan, vandring, Höör

Vaxsjöslingan in Höör is marked in red and is 2.9 kilometers long.

The loop runs through beautiful beech forest and pastures, passing by the bathing area and fishing piers. The surface is hardened gravel that is well suited for wheeled vehicles. As the loop is slightly hilly in the part that goes through Ullstorp nature reserve, it can be good with driving assistance for wheelchairs. It is easiest to roll counterclockwise. At several of the rest areas you can enjoy the wonderful water mirror of Vaxsjön.

Vaxsjön and Vaxsjöslingan are easiest to reach from the large parking lot of the hiking area, which is on the left just after Frostavallen Hotel and Conference. There is a toilet adapted for wheelchairs, information boards and a picnic area with a barbecue and seating area. In summer, April to November, there are also toilets at Vaxsjöns badplats.

For wheelchair users, there is good parking on the right side about 300 meters after Frostavallen's Hotel and Conference.

In winter, the large parking lot is good for those who want to enjoy wonderful sledding. On the slopes right next to it, you can whizz down four slopes of different lengths and degrees of difficulty. One of the slopes is suitable for smaller children. At the windbreak you can grill your sausage and drink your hot chocolate.
