Beskrivelse
Coastal mountains, lush broadleaf forests, pastoral moors and beautiful beaches await visitors to Stenshuvud. Stenshuvud, with its sharp profile against the curved shore of Hanö Bay, has long attracted people. Today, in the park you can experience almost all of Skåne's nature types in one day.
Stenshuvud National Park was established in 1986 and is located on Österlen in south-eastern Skåne. The area has long been affected by grazing and agriculture. Cultivation cairns, stone fence farms and ancient remains in the area bear witness to man's presence and influence in the landscape.
The national park is 400 hectares in size, of which around 80 hectares are sea. The mountain Stenshuvud itself consists of three peaks, of which the northern one is the highest at 97 meters above sea level. Here you have a magnificent view of Hanöbukten and in clear weather you can see the Danish island of Bornholm, like a blue shadow on the horizon in the southeast.
The charm of Stenshuvud National Park is that you don't have to go far to see a lot. The landscape is very varied with dry meadows, wet meadows, rich deciduous forest, wet deciduous forest, sandy beach and rocky beach.

Stenshuvud National Park is located in Simrishamn municipality. naturum Stenshuvud is located at the main entrance to the park. Stenshuvud National Park is located just south of Kivik, 15 km north of Simrishamn. From road 9 there are signs to the national park. It is about three kilometers to walk to the northern end of the park from Kivik.
Forskrifter
Within the national park, it is forbidden to:
- digging or hoeing
- damage, carve or paint on rock, soil, boulders or stone
- remove stones,
- break twigs or fell or damage living or dead trees or bushes,
- injuring or disturbing wildlife, climbing nest trees or being near a bird of prey's nest, lair or burrow
- drive a motorized vehicle or park outside designated roads and parking areas
- park or set up a caravan, motor home or similar at 00.00─06.00.
- operate a motorboat, jet ski or other motorized craft at a speed exceeding five (5) knots,
- take off or land by aircraft
- camping or erecting windbreaks or similar devices except in designated areas
- make fires, including the use of barbecues or open-air kitchens, except in designated areas
- bring an unleashed dog or other pet that is not leashed
- making noise in a disruptive manner
- conducting military or police training activities
- ride a horse
- cycling, and
- fishing, with the exception of fishing with hand gear in the sea
Without permission from the county administrative board, it is prohibited within the national park to:
- hold sports competitions or events,
- placing signs, boards, posters, orientation controls, markers or similar,
- carry out scientific studies or environmental monitoring that involves marking, collecting, trapping or otherwise affecting the natural environment
- collecting amphibians or reptiles
- collecting insects, spiders, snails, slugs or other invertebrates; and
- picking, collecting or digging up plants, including mosses, or lichens or woody fungi.
