Ringsjön consists of three different lake basins; Östra sjön, Västra sjön, Sätoftasjöndär den Östra är störst till ytan också det största medeljupet som är 6,1 mtotal sjöyta på 3973 Ha. Maximum depth is 17.5 which is in Sätoftasjön.
Ringsjön is also known for its bream fishing. After there were problems with algae blooms at the beginning of this century, reduction fishing was started, which contributed to a change in the visibility depth from 80 cm to 120 cm and significantly less algae blooms. Today it is a lake that has excellent pike-perch fishing, perch of course the pike that stands and lurks in the reeds.

Ringsjön is divided into Västra Ringsjön, Östra Ringsjön and Sätoftasjön.Sätoftasjön is part of Östra Ringsjön.
Västra Ringsjön is located in the municipalities of Eslöv and Höör, while Östra Ringsjön is located in the municipalities of Höör and Hörby.
The two lakes are divided by a headland along Riksväg 23, which runs through the holiday home area of Gamla Bo.In total, Östra and Västra Ringsjön and Sätoftasjön have a catchment area of 395 km².Rönneå flows from Ringsjön, to the northwest, and out to sea in Skälderviken, in northern Skåne. The Lillö peninsula is the remains of a volcano and is also known for its nature reserve.
Here is Bosjökloster Castle (see picture above), dating from the 11th century, on a peninsula in Ringsjön.

**Ringsjön FVOF offers free fishing for young fishermen. Remember to always read and carefully follow the fishing rules for the area.
Specifically for children and young people applies: - Free fishing for children and young people up to the age of 15 years - Only hand gear - Must have a valid ID - Children / Youth must be able to fish on their own (Throw / crank / fish themselves) - Children under 16 do not need a fishing license
