Lake Ring is popular for sport fishing.

Fishing for zander in the summer is magical, as is perch fishing in both summer and winter. Even the hunter after the old pike will not be disappointed.

You can rent a boat in the lake, either at BjörksRingsjönorRingsjöstrand.

It is possible to put in your own boat at the municipal boat ramp in Sätoftasjön.

Ringsjön is rich in fish. The regrowth is very good and if you pick the right day, the number of pikeperch and perch can be really large.

Östra Ringsjön is the deepest of the lakes. It invites to bright pikeperch fishing, both in the depths and also on the steep edges during the evening, when the pike go up to shallower water to hunt.

Västra Ringsjön is shallow and fairly evenly deep, here the pike fisherman finds fine areas with large pike. Perch also thrive in the western lake.

You can transport yourself between the lakes via the canal under road 23 at Gamla Bo.

The canal has good depth in the middle and it is no problem to travel through by boat.

Lake Sätoftasjön has the most in the form of greater depths, shallows and fine wadden bays. Take it carefully to Östra Ringsjön, where it is very shallow and rocky.

Fishing license required to fish in all 3 lakes.

Persons holding a valid fishing license may fish in Östra Ringsjön, Västra Ringsjön and Sätoftasjön.

General rules:

1.1Minimum dimensions - Maximum dimensions

Fish below/above the following dimensions may not be landed:

Whitefish: minimum 27 cm

Pike perch: at least 45 cm

Crayfish: Prohibited

Pike: minimum 45 cm, maximum 90 cm

1.2 Closed seasons

1.2.1 Fishing for zander is prohibited from April 15 to May 31

1.2.2 Fishing for whitefish is prohibited from November 1 to December 31.

Restrictions:

1.3 Limits on fish caught per person/fishing license per day:

Maximum fish allowed: zander 1, perch 10, pike 2.

Fishing competitions

Ban on fishing competitions March 1 - August 31, competitions must be notified to the association

3.0 Fees, rules, instructions

3.1 Ringsjöns FVOF allows fishing for the public by selling fishing licenses.

3.1.6 Fishing for children and young people under the age of 16 is free of charge, otherwise the same rules apply to card buyers under points 3.2 - 3.4 and 3.7

3.2 Fishing licenses are personal and cannot be transferred to another person.

3.2.1 Fishing license buyers are obliged to find out the existing rules for fishing in the lake.

3.3 Fishing must not take place in the vicinity of exposed nets or gear so that they are damaged. Fishing is prohibited within 200 meters of inhabited property.

3.4 The fishing license entitles you to fish in Ringsjön according to current regulations, with only hand gear fishing. Max. 4 rods / boat and 2 rods / card. Prohibition with deep rig. Only barbless hooks are allowed.

When releasing fish, the fish must be handled in such a way that damage to the fish is minimized, which means that the fish is handled with wet hands, pulled up and released as quickly as possible and, if possible, unhooked in the water, but if this is not possible, larger fish must not be lifted by the head or tail. In fisheries where the purpose is to release the fish, the necessary gear for gentle handling shall be available.

Ringsjöns fiskevårdsförening recommends not fishing with the bait at a depth greater than 9 meters if the intention is to release the fish. As with temperatures above 20 degrees, the utmost care must be taken for the survival of the fish.

3.5 Fishing license, or i-fishing control number, must always be carried on a fishing trip and be able to be presented on request to the police and supervisor, the cards must be solved before the start of fishing. When checking fishing licenses, the gear must be taken up in order to facilitate the control.

3.6 The prerequisites for the family card to be valid are that everyone is registered at the same address as the buyer. The names of all persons fishing on the card must also be entered on the card.

3.7 All whitefish caught, such as roach and bream, must be landed

4.1 Violations under points 1.2, 1.3, 3.2 - 3.7 result in an inspection fee of SEK 1,000.
