Beskrivelse
Ljungbyheds Military History Museum was inaugurated on June 5, 1998. By then the main building, the old army mess from the 1860s, had undergone several years of restoration and been restored to the condition it was in in the 1880s.
The army mess is home to exhibitions that mainly show the activities, equipment and environments of the army units. The library and expedition are housed in an old expedition building, and in an adjacent barracks a new department was opened in 2016, showing the development of aviation at Ljungbyhed.

The purpose of the Ljungbyheds Military History Museum Association at **** is, among other things, to
- reflect military and social activities at Ljungbyhed from the 1670s to 1998
- manage and care for material deposited or owned by the museum

- display aviation equipment and activities related to flight, maintenance and repair
