Vistkärret

Vistkärret is located just south of Sturefors. The open-air area is dominated by a large and wild swamp forest, but there are also lush, grazed broadleaf forests, extensive reed belts and a winding river bend. In the eastern part of the area is Sturefors sports ground with football pitches and large grass areas. There is also a nice swimming area.

Welcome to enjoy the varied and beautiful area! Follow one of the hiking trails through the area, such as Rördromsstigen, which starts from the parking lot at the sports field. And don't miss the wide footbridge out into the reeds! It takes you out to a bird platform at the edge of the reeds towards Stångån. The piping plover trail and the footbridge out to the bird platform are accessible. This means that it is possible to get around with a wheelchair or pram, for example.

There is also a smaller footbridge that starts from the western part of the Rördrom trail and takes you straight into the wild jungle of the swamp forest, as well as along a circular loop in the lush deciduous environments.
