Beskrivelse
Bring a coffee and make a short excursion to Vargbacken, a forested hilltop northwest of Söderköping. Here you will find a largely open and hiking-friendly coniferous forest with several interesting ancient and cultural remains lying dormant, including burial grounds, trapping pits, shardstone mounds and stone strings. Follow one of the many paths up to the top of the mountain and enjoy a very beautiful view of the agricultural landscape, with Söderköping in the west and Duvkullarna, Göta Kanal and the forest landscape in the south.

Vargbacken is located northwest of Söderköping along the old highway, almost opposite Söderköpings Brukshundsklubb. There is no organized parking space so the easiest way is to walk or take the bike. From the canal lock in Söderköping it is about 3 km if you follow the canal bank and over the canal bridge/E22 past Klevbrinken.
