Verner von Heidenstam's Övralid is located high above Lake Vättern with a fantastic view.
In summer there is a café here and you can go on guided tours of the Nobel Prize writer's last home.

How to get here:
By car - Turn off highway 50 at Nykyrka. Then follow the signs to Övralid.
By bus - From the bus stop V:a Ny Kyrka it is about 2.5 km to Övralid. Walk Övralidsvägen west for about 1.5 km until you reach the signs for Övralid. Continue straight ahead for another 75 meters and you are on Östgötaleden. Follow the trail to the left/south if you want to reach the starting point. If you want to walk towards Medevi, continue straight ahead.

Med bil - Sväng av från riksväg 50 vid Nykyrka. Följ sedan skyltningen mot Övralid.
Med buss - Från busshållplats V:a Ny Kyrka är det cirka 2,5 km till Övralid. Vandra Övralidsvägen västerut i cirka 1,5 km tills du når skyltning mot Övralid. Fortsätt rakt fram i ytterligare 75 meter och du är på Östgötaleden. Följ leden åt vänster/söder om du vill till startplatsen. Vill du vandra mot Medevi fortsätter du rakt fram.
