Naturum Tåkern

The Tåkern Nature Center is located by the lake of birds, a gateway to nature and culture in the Tåkern region. "Sweden's sharpest nature center" is a unique building, designed by Wingårdh architects and completely covered in reeds.

Naturum Tåkern is owned by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and run by the County Administrative Board of Östergötland and is one of Sweden's 32 nature centers.

It offers nature guidance in the form of exhibitions, films, guided tours and much more. Knowledgeable hosts meet you and share information about nature, birds, animals and plants. Here you will learn why we need to take care of and protect nature. Naturum is a natural meeting place for anyone with an interest in nature and the environment.

Naturum is located in Tåkern Nature Reserve. In the reserve there are hiking trails, bird towers, barbecue areas, a fairytale trail and a nature playground.
