Duvkullarna

Along the northern side of the Göta Canal, by the Duvkullen locks, there are two hills with valuable oak environments and two burial grounds from the Late Iron Age. Most of the graves are round stone circles and a small number are mounds. Great natural values are linked to the old and large trees. In addition to oak, there are also ash, elm, hazel and birdberry trees. From Göta Kanal, paths lead up the hills and burial grounds. A path also runs below along the canal and the south-facing slope. Here the oaks have recently been cleared to create light and space for the trees.
