Beskrivelse
Kvismaren is one of the country's premier bird lakes with lots of breeding and migrating birds. Öby kulle is the center of Kvismaren, make a visit in the spring when vipers and snakes come to life. The reserve is part of both Natura 2000, which is the EU's network for valuable nature, and also the global nature conservation convention Ramsar, which exists to protect valuable wetlands.

Veibeskrivelse
Kvismaren is located about 15 km outside Örebro. Take road 207 and turn immediately right towards Stortorp/Norrbyås. After about 11 km, turn right towards Öby kulle. By bus you can get to Norrbyås which is about 2 km from Öby kulle.
Forskrifter
In the reserve it is forbidden to:
- damage the soil or vegetation, for example by digging or flower picking
- disturbing wildlife
- park in places other than those specifically designated
- use a boat or canoe within the reserve
- camping, making fires and driving motor vehicles within the reserve other than in specially designated places at Öby kulle
- disturb the grazing animals
- bring an unleashed dog
