The Gårdsby and Hemmesjö Bökeskog (beech forest) is a 65-hectare area that consists largely of beech woods, grazing pastures and what remains of meadows. Bökeskogen is known for its beautiful beech wood scenery with ancient trees. The reserve borders on two lakes, Hinnasjön and Lövsjön, which are full of interesting flora and fauna..

Veibeskrivelse
If you leave Växjö by car, take the 25 towards Kalmar. 7 km after the Kalmar roundabout turn left towards Vikensved. After another 2 km turn left towards Bökeskogen. 300 m into the gravel road you will reach the reserve's parking lot. You can also get to Bökeskogen by bicycle from the VAIS tower in the Fylleryd nature reserve, and then cycle across the golf course towards Notteryd and up the slopes to Vikensved. In Vikensved you turn right towards Bökeskogen.
