Jäts byalags vandringsled

The Jät village association’s hiking trail offers you a number of exciting environments around Lake Åsnen. The trail has three different routes, varying between eight and twelve kilometres in length. The beach in Jät is the starting the finishing line for this trail. Along the trail, you’ll reach a fine observation tower that offers a magnificent panorama of the lake and its islands. Black-throated divers, white-tailed eagles and soaring and hovering ospreys are commonly seen. Beyond the tower, your walk will take you to both coniferous forests and pastures abloom with flowers, green-white butterflies and bird’s-foot trefoil. Other features include Jät’s medieval church, as well as the reeds near the mouth of the Agg river, which host the great bittern. Sometimes you can also see common kingfishers along the river.
