Gölrundan

A walk around Hovs göl mixes fine wilderness views with urban noise. This yellow-marked, approximately two-kilometer-long hiking trail rounds the small pond with rich wildlife. During wet seasons, sturdy shoes may be needed on some sections. The entire route is being renovated for spring 2025 with new paths, trail markings, benches and accessible gravel to the bird tower. Gölen was formed about 14,000 years ago when the ice sheet retreated. Take a spring walk to the beautiful bird tower and you will have a good chance of seeing cranes, skylarks and snipe. Not only cranberries grow along the beaches and rocky outcrops, but also round hairs that eat insects. Butterflies such as the marsh fritillary, sedge fritillary, purple fritillary and sulphur yellow fritillary also like the environment. Leave nothing but footprints along the route.
