Holavedsleden etapp HO1 Grännaberget - Örserum - En del av Smålandsleden

The first stage of the Holavedsleden starts on Grännaberget above Gränna, where you are offered magnificent views of Vättern and Visingsö right from the start. Here you will also pass Tegnértornet, a classic viewing tower that provides an extra mile-wide panoramic view.

The trail continues through hilly woodland - a mixture of pine heaths, deciduous forests and open glades. During the walk you will experience a varied landscape and pass older cultural environments such as stone walls and croft foundations.

A particular highlight along the route is Iglasjön, a small and magical lake surrounded by dense forest. The lake is said to have inspired the artist John Bauer, and the place offers tranquillity and an almost fairytale-like atmosphere.

The stage ends in Örserum, a scenic community on Lake Ören. There are services, bathing facilities and overnight accommodation for those who want to rest up for the next part of the trail.
