Beskrivelse
The quarry came into being because stone was needed for the piers in the ports at the mouth of the Nissan. In 1837, stone began to be quarried here at Kolhallsklippan. The quarry eventually filled with water and quickly became popular for swimming. This was the beginning of the present-day Simstadion Brottet, or Brottet as many Halmstad residents call it.
